This one's for you Pat

About two weeks ago, Southeastern held their Homecoming festivities and Morgan, being a freshman now, got to attend. These are some pictures of she and her date (which was her friend Gage)in front of my in-laws house. She had fun and looked beautiful. Last weekend was Lora and Phil's wedding and we had a blast with our family. A huge thanks to Scott and Tori Noon and Amy for feeding us Thursday and so graciously opening their homes for us to relax. It is VERY much appreciated. So, we are back from paradise to Ohio and I have the play in less that three weeks! AHHHH! Time to get to business.

A Women's Weekend

This past weekend, Morgan and I went on a trip by ourselves. I decided a long time ago that when my girls turned 14 and were entering high school, I would take them on a weekend away, just the two of us. So, on Friday, Morgan and I headed to Columbus. I made an appointment for Morgan to have her makeup done for the first time at Sephora and then we got everything she needed. I don't know if you can tell from the picture but it is right after she got done. She didn't look too made up- just polished- and beautiful. The people in Sephora thought she was 16 or 17 and better yet, they thought I was her sister! Yes! After a long evening of shopping and eating at the Cheesecake Factory- YUM!- we stayed at the Hilton thanks to Lance Tharp and then next day got up to head off to Charles Penzone for a day of relaxation and beauty. We both got full body massages, facials, pedicures and manicures. We had a blast and had good quality time together to talk. I can hardly wait 5 years for Grace!

The Beach!

For those of you who don't know, our family has been going to Sunset Beach for the last 20 years or so. We love it. It is so quiet, full of families and nothing about it is commercial. We went last week and all 12 of us stayed in one house. Lora's boyfriend, Phil, joined us later in the week. We had a blast cooking, eating out, putt putting, eating ice cream, taking bike rides and just relaxing on the beach. It was great for us all together before Ross and Amy moved and began their new lives in the Air Force. Amy graciously took pictures of our kids on the beach which turned out wonderful. It was just a great time for everyone.

Daddy and Me

Van came today to pick up CJ for a truck ride to town. He was selling corn and thought CJ might want to ride along. I think you can see by his face that he was happy about it! CJ has been going with Van as much as he can. There is always the safety issue so it is hard to let him do too much just yet. He rode the tractor with Van yesterday for about 45 minutes and even then he wasn't ready to get off! I guess Van finally got his tractor driver!
